What two days full of insight and feedback at the Joint EuroSDR EuroGeographics Workshop: Sustainable Business Models for National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies (NMCAs), held on 9–10 January 2026 at NGI Belgium, Brussels!

Two years earlier at the previous event on Business Models the NMCAs had arranged to meet again, one year after the full entry in force of the European regulation on high-value datasets, considered at that time as a strong potential game changer for their own business models. Promise delivered in Brussels where NMCAs representants shared in a framework of mutual trust and common interest feedback, good practices or unresolved questions yet. Presentations from Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and from EuroGeographics also showed that the European regulatory framework on data and environmental data could change in the next months.
