EuroSDR GeoAI SIG | 2nd Workshop: Learning by Sharing: The European Model Catalogue & LLMs in Action

18 - 20 November 2026 (Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, Frankfurt am Main, Germany)

2nd Workshop
Learning by Sharing: The European Model Catalogue & LLMs in Action

Dates: 18–20 November 2026

Location: Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy
Richard-Strauss-Allee 11
60598 Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Following the successful launch of the EuroSDR GeoAI Special Interest Group at its kick-off workshop hosted by Kadaster in Rotterdam in November 2025, the SIG will come together again for its second workshop in Frankfurt from 18–20 November 2026, hosted by the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG). The 2025 workshop brought together experts from national mapping and cadastral agencies and academic institutions to define the SIG’s priorities, establish themes for its work and initiate collaboration around shared datasets, models and methodologies. Building on those foundations, this second workshop, “Learning by Sharing: The European Model Catalogue & LLMs in Action,” will focus on sharing emerging GeoAI experience across NMCAs, developing the European Model Catalogue, exploring the application of generative AI and LLMs, and working together to shape the SIG’s future roadmap.
