3DGeoInfo and BIM/GIS | Vote for your favourite virtual activities

27 May 2020

The 3DGeoInfo and BIM/GIS team are very pleased to invite you to the online conference, to be held between in the week starting the 7th September, and extending into the following week to allow us to organise activities for different time zones and because it is not easy to focus on a screen/virtual conference full time for 3 days.

An online conference is a first for many of us and it would be possible to just have a series of webinars (one way talks with questions).  We will of course be offering the usual excellent  content that you expect:

- Keynote talks (from  Anne Kemp,  Jantien Stoter and Polly Hudson)

- Scientific and industry talks – we’ve received a total of 80 submissions, which is great! Each talk will start with a pre-recorded presentation (for offline viewing and to be less reliant on Internet connections) with live discussions with the speakers in each session.

- Software demonstrations/tutorials

- Sponsor activities and presentations

However - we think that conferences are all about networking, meeting people, catching up with friends, having in-depth discussions about scientific topics but also about random subjects – food, travel and many more -  and generally making connections.  We’re planning to organise some virtual social events, and we’re really keen to hear from you as to what you’d like to see – please let us know by filling in this form by the 5th June:

The paper review process has started and registration will open in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, ticket prices are below.

Best regards

Claire and the 3DGeoInfo  and BIM/GIS Team
